This Alder & Aves pendant depicts a black-capped chickadee resting on a branch. The rounded body, short bill and cap-and-cheek boundaries guide the composition. Layered wing and tail details carry through the plain-metal and colored-enamel versions.

The plain-metal version emphasizes feather relief, a rounded profile and the boundaries between cap, cheek and throat, without enamel.
