Wedding-band fit is determined by the engagement ring's gallery, bridge, center-stone setting, and side details. A gap is not automatically a flaw, and a flush stack is not always the best choice. The right fit is the one planned for the design and comfortable in daily wear.
Flush fit
A flush-fit wedding band sits directly beside the engagement ring with little or no visible space. This usually requires enough bridge clearance for a straight band to pass beneath the center setting.
Intentional gap
A small gap can reduce rubbing, preserve visible details, and allow two independently designed rings to sit naturally. Some buyers prefer the visual separation.
Contoured band
A curved or contoured band follows the outline of the engagement ring. It is useful when the basket, halo, bezel, or side stones extend into the space where a straight band would sit.
