Peg-head settings

A peg head is attached at a smaller central connection point on the band. It can make the center stone appear elevated and visually distinct from the shank.

Durability and repair

Quality depends on proportion, metal thickness, attachment, and workmanship. A peg head is not automatically weak, but the connection point must be appropriately built for the stone size.

Choose a basket for a more integrated and architectural setting. Choose a peg head for a classic elevated solitaire appearance and straightforward head replacement when appropriate.
